Our inventory is not standard pallets. Can you still design a layout?

Yes, and it is common. Give us the dimensions and weights of what you actually store — crates, totes, or fixtures — and we size bays and elevations around those rather than a 48 by 40 assumption.

How small a project will you take on?

A single row is a normal order. You still get a layout, a position count, and installation if you want the crew to handle it.

What is best for small parts and consumables?

Carton flow lanes or industrial shelving, replenished from behind so the pick aisle stays clear during a busy shift.

Can we reprofile a row when a program changes?

Beams reposition on the frame punch pattern, so changing elevations rarely means buying new steel. Using standard sizes throughout is what makes that painless.

How long does the design take?

Usually a few business days from the time we have your dimensions, weights, clear height, and equipment details. The layout and itemized quote come together.

Industrial Pallet Racks & Warehouse Racking in Ann Arbor, MI

Ann Arbor storage problems usually come with unusual inventory. Lab consumables, prototype hardware, and short-run production do not stack like standard freight, and a rack layout copied from a distribution center wastes half the space.

We design around what you actually store. The layout shows pallet positions, elevations, and aisle widths sized to your equipment, so you know what the building holds before you spend anything.

Pallet Rack Solutions for Ann Arbor Warehouses

The South Industrial and Research Park buildings around Ann Arbor were put up for a mix of light manufacturing and lab work, so clear heights are moderate and floor loading varies between suites.

That usually points toward selective racking at conservative elevations combined with shelving or carton flow for small items, rather than tall high-density rows.

Research and prototype operations also change what they store several times a year. We use adjustable beam levels and standard bay sizes so a row can be reprofiled for a new program without new steel.

What a Pallet Rack Project Looks Like

We begin with the inventory itself: pallet, tote, or crate dimensions, weight per position, how many distinct items you hold, and how often each is touched. Combined with clear height, door access, and your lift equipment, that produces a CAD layout with position counts, beam elevations, and aisle widths, plus itemized pricing.

Selective pallet racking is the flexible backbone. Carton flow suits small-part picking with gravity-fed lanes. Cantilever holds tubing, extrusion, and anything else that overhangs a pallet, and push back adds density where you keep depth of one item.

Wire decking, pallet supports, and protection are quoted with the system. Installation is usually quick on projects this size, and crews anchor, plumb, level, and capacity-tag as they work.

You keep the drawings and a direct contact for added bays, reprofiling, and replacement components as programs change.
